Scholarships and Awards

University awards and scholarships will be applied to the student's account as a credit, in equal amounts, by term. In some situations, the full value of awards and scholarships may be used at once by full-time students who choose to pay an entire year's fees in the first term. Any scholarship funds that remain after tuition and fees have been paid will be refunded to the student upon request.

Graduate students receiving funding from UNB in the form of a Graduate Academic Assistantship (GAA), Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) or scholarship can arrange to have their tuition fees deducted bi-weekly from their funding. Eligible students should visit the service counter at the location, and during the hours, posted here.  Saint John campus students should visit the Human Resources office, located in room 114 of Oland Hall to make such arrangements. At that time, students will be asked to present their original letter from UNB outlining their award offer and the amount of funding they will receive as well as a completed Fee Deduction Authorization Form. Please note that if you do not wish to pay your fees owing for the current term by your GAA or GRA that Financial Services will need to hold your funding until your fees have been paid  by another method.

For more information on the kinds of scholarships available to students, please visit the UNB Scholarship website.
